Halifax based, Canadian Jazz Guitarist Shan Arsenault is proud to announce the release of his second recording, "Below Sea Level." This recording is ten of Shan's original compositions for jazz guitar trio and quartet. Shan's writing has matured since his last (2005) release; "The Jazz Beat Sessions" and Stephen Pedersen of the Halifax Chronicle Herald says: "...it's a new Shan Arsenault out there walking through these 10 original charts."

Official release party was April 19 at the Holiday Inn, Commons Room, Robie St. in Halifax. Shan played to a capacity house and received a standing ovation for his performance of his 10 original compositions. Fellow performers on "Below Sea Level" are David Burton (drums), Larry Bjornson (bass) and Paul Simons (keyboard). The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) will again be taking the opportunity to record Shan's playing. He will be recorded live this year at the TD Trust Atlantic Jazz Festival for future CBC broadcasts.

CDs are now being sold online at CDBaby.com, Amazon.com and many digital distributors.
