SPECIAL CD RELEASE CONCERT SCHEDULED

AT SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 AT 8 PM

The electrifying Boston-based vocal jazz quartet Syncopation featuring soprano Aubrey Logan (who also doubles on trombone), alto Christine Fawson (who doubles on trumpet), tenor David Thorne Scott and bass Tsunenori –Lee” Abe (who also is the groupęs arranger/composer) has just released their new CD, WONDERFUL YOU Đ their first U.S. recording in six years.

Syncopation will also perform at a special CD release concert at Scullers Jazz Club at the DoubleTree Guest Suites Hotel, 400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston on Tuesday, September 30 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets at $20.00 and $15.00 for students can be purchased in advance on line at www.ticketweb.com or by calling the clubęs hotline: 617-562-4131. On WONDERFUL YOU, Syncopation reinterprets pop songs chosen from the musical landscape of the past 30 years, including songs by Radiohead, Mr. Mister, the Stylistics, Earth Wind and Fire, Joni Mitchell, and piano phenom Hiromi, transforming R&B, soul, folk rock, fusion and electropop with their own jazz harmonies, rhythms and style.

Accompanying Syncopation on Wonderful You is Syncopationęs high-energy touring band, Mark Shilansky on piano, Steve Langone on drums, Greg Holt on bass and Marcus Santos on percussion. This hot backup group will also appear at Scullers Jazz Club on September 30.
