3D LAUNCHES ITS FIRST LATIN ALBUM

“RITMO DE VIDA”

September 9, 2005

3D launches its first complete Latin album titled RITMO DE VIDA. The album features singer Herman Olivera, trumpeter Ray Vega and Grammy Award winning pianist Oscar Hernandez.

RITMO DE VIDA is a vibrant production with 10 songs balancing vocals and instrumentals with a refreshing and original sound, presenting salsa, boleros, socarengue, Latin jazz and frocuno.

Drummer Michael Tate and guitarist Chris Amelar are the founding members of the band, and even though they are Americans, both feel and play the Latino sound with such force that the listener believes that they are Latins. Keyboardist Lenny Underwood joins them in live performances and this recording. Talented singer Herman Olivera lends his voice to 3 of the songs included on this album.

Mi Amor tu volverás,” being released as the first single, is a dramatic salsa piece which tells the story of a man who is deeply in love with a woman for reasons that are beyond his control. The woman leaves, but despite of it all, he remains hopeful that she will return to him. Olivera delivers a classic performance and soneos filled with fluid and heartfelt improvisation. Trumpeter Ray Vega compliments the arrangement with a powerful solo.

This is 3D’s second album; the first one titled World Beat Dance featured the sounds of New Orleans, Soca, Reggae, R&B and Gospel. The band members have worked as musicians with artists such as Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Belafonte, Chaka Khan, Cab Calloway, and many more, as well as recorded productions with Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Sony Records.

With RITMO DE VIDA, 3D breaks away from the old prejudices and rules to establish new styles with global character. With this record the audience can dance or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the music. RITMO DE VIDA will be available in stores on September 27th.
