Rodrigo Rodriguez and Hasan Hujairi will be performing a repertoire of music using the Santour (Persian Zither), Oud (Middle Eastern Lute), a specially tuned Austrian Zither (to be used during a unique recital of a poem written by world-famous Bahraini Poet Qassim Haddad), and the Shakuhachi (Japanese Zen Bamboo Flute). The goal of this event is to inform people about the culture of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in a manner that promotes cultural understanding and respect.
The NHK Museum of Broadcast opened in Atagoyama, is dubbed "the birthplace of Japanese broadcasting". Japan's broadcasting history started in 1925. Since then, broadcasting has greatly progressed from radio to television, to satellite broadcasting, to High-Vision (HDTV), and to digital broadcasting. The Museum houses various exhibits on broadcasting history, including original items used in actual programs, and has an on-demand video library and a reference library, opened to public for free. Moreover, The NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute is an institute that often organizes unique cultural and artistic events around Japan.
