5.6.08 - Concord Jazz have released the new album (CD & Digital) from Jazz piano wonder kid and two-time Grammy nominee Taylor Eigsti titled 'Let It Come To You'. 'Let It Come To You' is Taylor's follow up to his 2006 Concord debut 'Lucky To Be Me' which spent 23 weeks on the national jazz radio airplay charts, peaking at No. 7, and earned two GRAMMY nominations for Best Instrumental Composition and for Best Instrumental Jazz Solo Performance. 'Let It Come To You' is an impressive 11-song collection of imaginatively refreshed standards and creative interpretations of newer works from artists as diverse as Pat Metheny and the pop band The Eels, as well as four original compositions. Eigsti opens the CD with swinging exuberance on Cole Porter’s “I Love You,” one of several tunes on the album that are studio first takes. It’s followed by another spontaneous take of Pat Metheny’s “Timeline,” which is dedicated to the late Michael Brecker and on which Joshua Redman guests. Download the mp3 for the song 'Fall Back Suite: Less Free Will' from the album here: http://www.otmg.net/audio/TaylorEigsti-FallBackSuite_LessFreeWill.mp3 “There comes a time in every former prodigy’s life when they have to be judged on their output as an adult. Eigsti’s just keeps getting more compelling and inspiring.” – Johnathan Widran, All Music Guide
