nuGroove recording artist Jay Soto to Headline HIV/AIDS Children’s Benefit

Morristown, NJ/June 16, 2008

nuGroove recording artist Jay Soto will headline “Night of Jazz and Fashion by the Sea Benefit Concert” on August 30, 2008 at the Hermosa Beach Theater in Hermosa Beach, California.  Hosted by the Hush Foundation, this special performance will raise funds for children with HIV/AIDS and pediatric HIV/AIDS Research.

About the artist:

Soto has rapidly built a name for himself as a contemporary jazz star on the rise.  After signing with nuGroove in 2007, Soto’s “Slammin’” single from his Stay Awhile CD rose to #2 on the charts to the resounding sound of critical acclaim and remained in the Top 30 at Radio and Records for 42 weeks. 

Brian Soergel of the Jazz Times said, “[Stay Awhile]….glimmers of a star-in-the-making…”   Additionally, the Jazz Review declared, “Jay Soto is rapidly becoming one of the hottest smooth jazz guitarists in America.”

The HUSH Foundation is a 501(c) (3) grass roots non-profit organization. Their programs are designed to conduct infectious disease prevention and education campaigns, fundraising and awareness-raising events, develop social and home-based care and treatment initiatives, provide counseling services and outreach schemes for children who are underserved, orphaned, and in homeless communities, provide grants to programs that support children with infectious and disabling diseases, support children’s educational needs, and support Pediatric HIV/AIDS Research.
