Minneapolis - The New Year brings forth a diverse brand of major celebrity music producers/composers/songwriters, recording artists and engineers who are already slated for their guest appearance on The Producer's Corner with Spud Too Tight on ITunes Podcast and the website at: www.spudtootightmusic.ning.com

This is one of the hottest and most unique celebrity driven music Tech Talk Podcast to hear some of Billboard's chart topping and Grammy Award winning music producers, composers, arrangers, vocalists and engineers discuss their production techniques and preferences, influences, song structure, music instruments, genre, style and their craft, state of the art recording equipment, background and upcoming projects.

"I am on the grind to help educate new to the game, upcoming music producers, engineers and composers understand the music production realities of making great songs, and interacting with music celebrity Icons on the show gives the listeners a wide range of resources to learn from the best. Hosting a podcast on ITunes and having a website www.spudtootightmusic.ning.com for producers to join the discussion forums, attend clinics, submit music for review, and obtain additional information reaches out to those audiences" says Spud Too Tight. He is an avid Logic Pro 8/MacBook Pro user, music producer, recording engineer and prolific on keyboards, drum programming, guitar and bass for 20 years. He has been producing that edgy sound for Indie recording artists, television and radio spots from Minneapolis to Hollywood. Spud has a four year Publishing/Administration deal with Missing Link Music www.missinglinkmusic.com

Each week Music Producer/Composer Spud Too Tight dialogs with some the industry's top music producers and composers from around the country. This week, Cuban Jazz Pianist/Composer/Producer Elio Villafranca makes his 2nd appearance on The Producer's Corner with Spud Too Tight to discuss his 2010 GRAMMY nomination for Best Latin Jazz Album of the Year in the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards in Chembo Corniel's Album Things I wanted to Do, in which Mr. Villafranca collaborated as pianist and co-producer. Also, he is the pianist in the recently released album by John Santos y El Coro Folklorico Kindembo, La Guerra No, which was also nominated for Best Traditional World Music Album in the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards."

Since the release of The Source In Between, Elio Villafranca once again demonstrates why he’s at the forefront of the generation of remarkable Cuban pianists, composers and bandleaders that for several years has been making major creative contributions to the international development of modern jazz. Leading a core quartet featuring tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander, bassist Jeff Carney and the Cuban drummer Dafnis Prieto, Villafranca presents a program of nine originals and a Latin re-mix of the CD’s title track that goes a step beyond the stylistic terrain he explored on Incantations/Encantaciones, his solo recording debut from 2003 that was named one of that year’s top 50 jazz CDs by JazzTimes.

In spring of 2009, Elio was a Recipient of the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture Fund for the Arts/Heineken Green Ribbon Master Artist Music Grant to compose a concerto of three movements for a contemporary symphonic orchestra. This piece featured Afro Cuban percussion and a Mariachi ensemble, and was performed in July at the Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts (MECA) in Houston. This month he begins his global tour to Europe and the Caribbean. visit www.eliovillafranca.net
