Paula's new CD Groove with Me features many phenomenal celebrity guest artists

New York - Singer/Songwriter/Woodwind player Paula Atherton has been gracing the music industry over a half decade bringing new sparks of versatility and style to the smooth jazz and adult contemporary genres. Most recently, her soulful stage performance and velvet tones on the saxophone intrigued Grammy nominated smooth jazz guitarist/composer Chieli Minucci, Outstanding Image Award Recipient pianist/composer Onaje Allan Gumbs and renowned trumpet soloist Cindy Bradley to sit in with her at one of New York's hot spots.

Paula has toured Japan, Monte Carlo, Portugal, the US and Canada. In 2004, she performed at the Blue Note in NYC for a week with jazz pianist Hank Jones, in a tribute to Frank Sinatra. Her first CD, "Let Me Inside Your Love," debuted on the national contemporary jazz charts in 2004 and her song titled "I Long For Your Love," was released on Warner Europe, just two years later on a CD called, "Ladies of Jazz." She is joined on this CD by Natalie Cole, Candy Dulfer, Eliane Elias, and other female jazz artists. Paula performed on television with Michael Bolton, on The Rachael Ray Show, The Today Show, and Good Morning America. Other television appearances include Nueva Estrella Awards (CBS), and bandleader for the Lifetime network show, "Girl's Night Out" (30 episodes). Her achievements do not stop on the stage, she scored for the independent film, "The Definition of Insanity," which premiered in New York City in 2004.

She performed at fundraisers for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, opened for jazz guitarist Chuck Loeb, Latin star Johnny Pacheco, jazz singer Patti Austin (with Steve Briody), Tito Puente, saxophonist Najee, has been a welcomed addition to the stage at The Golden Nugget in Reno, The Metropolitan in Fayetteville, B.B. King's in Nashville, hot spots in New York and numerous famed Jazz Festivals.

On the smooth jazz radio, podcast and print media scene, her interviews include WEIB-Holyoke MA, KJZS-Reno NV, WFSK, Nashville and WQOQ Memphis TN, WJAB-Huntsville AL, Jazz Net 247 and The Producer's Corner with Spud Too Tight on ITunes Podcast. Reviews from a taste of Paula's new CD "Groove with Me" skyrocketed to the Jazz Cafe, Smooth Jazz Therapy, Smooth Jazz Vibes, Urban Music Scene, Key of Gee, Smooth Forever and she was featured on the front page of Good Times Magazine.

Paula's must have new CD, "Groove with Me," features many phenomenal guest artists, including guitarist Chieli Minucci (Special EFX), trumpet player Greg Adams (Tower of Power), jazz pianist Onaje Allan Gumbs, and Bill Heller, keyboardist for the Rippingtons. Regular members and other contributors to the CD include Schuyler Deale (Jeff Lorber, Billy Cobham, Michael Bolton), Lionel Cordew (Mike Stern, Special EFX, Jeff Lorber), Emedin Rivera (Special EFX, Dave Valentin, Paquito D'Rivera), Stanley Banks (George Benson), Darin Brown (Enrique Englesias, Willie DeVille), Steve Briody (Randy Brecker, Dave Valentin), and John Deley (Dido).
