Track Description: We make "alternative" music that ranges from Jazz, Rock, various world music idioms, Hip-Hop, Country, Spaghetti Western and other film music genres, Space Age Bachelor Pad to various 20th Century Classical and Avant-Garde styles. The prime-time sublime Community Orchestra fuses these sounds so that the result is something between a pop song, film score, Jazz improvisation, cartoon soundtrack and an orchestral suite.
Track Description: Prod is principally a producer of electronic music but is not adverse to throwing a bit of sax playing into the mix. This is a fairly unique jazz jungle tune which twists and turns around a catchy little hook with shades of that squarepusher thing reering its head. Try me, I'm small file and will be here very soon.
Track Description: QB3 is Christopher “Root” Heinz (drums), Fred Gerantab (guitar) and Emek Rave (bass), 3 friends and like minds from Queens, New York. The trio’s collective ability to mix solid grooves and melodies with masterful improvisation has gained quite a bit of attention just about everywhere they’ve set foot. Combining groove, funk, jazzy lines and and electronically influenced beats, the group nods to many different elements of their musical DNA from John Scofield to The Pixies, but it’s indisputable that QB3 has honed their own niche in this heavily saturated musical capital of the world.

Track Description: A cut from the album Awakening, Cinco-pation brings to mind the Dave Brubeck classic Take Five with its characteristic 5/4 time signature, and features a quintet, with solos from Kevin Barcomb (tenor sax), Pete Bellino (trumpet) and Adrian Cohen (piano.)
Track Description: This features a drum and right hand intro for this classic Rodgers & Hart standard, which is a technique often used by saxophonists and drummers to "play out" minus the bass. Line-wise, I was thinking about my dad, guitar legend, Jimmy Raney and pianist Bill Evans who occasionally subtracted his left hand during a solo and then putting it in later to add impact. Enjoy!
Track Description: REEL SOUND of MUSIC, featuring some of the Best Artist/Bands' Music chosen for their great quality, production value and musicianship, promoted and directed to Licensors has just released the JAZZ ~ Two CD!!
Track Description: The Rippingtons’ 18th release features an explosive lineup lead by founder Russ Freeman with special guests including smooth Jazz trumpet icon Rick Braun, Dave Karasony, Bill Heller, as well as new bassist Rico Belled and special guest, returning saxophonist Jeff Kashiwa.
Modern Art breaks new stylistic ground, incorporating exotic world music elements on the sensuously romantic, acoustic guitar driven “Paris Groove” and adds an Eastern authenticity to the hypnotic “Black Book” with an electric sitar. With the sizzling interaction between Freeman’s slow burning electric guitar and Kashiwa’s wild sax improvisations, the easy grooving “One Step Closer” and bluesy “Body Art” will remind longtime fans of the band’s glory days of the '90s, but with a souped up twist!
The Rippingtons, whose first lineup included future contemporary Jazz superstars Dave Koz, Kenny G and David Benoit, dominated the instrumental and urban Jazz landscape from the late ‘80s on with their often exotically titled hit recordings.

Track Description: re "One Step", this one of almost 10 songs in the musical website. It's up-tempo jazz-based, definitely reminiscent of Randy Newman's writing, who I've admired for years. Some of my most loved pure jazz pianists are Keith Jarrett,Marian McPartland,Bill Evans,Ray Charles and too many more players to mention. This first musicals dedicated to Ella Fitzgerald who I refer to as my mother. I spent my childhood curled up next to the RCA victrola phono record player with the dog on it singing along with her and Frankie and the musicals. I was a nurse with kids for 20 yrs, but became too chronically ill by 4 yrs ago to play the piano for the first time since I was 6 yrs old,sit or even cut my meat. I exercised with no improvement until 4 yrs later,a little improvement, especially
on the piano. Otherwise I remain disabled from most every job except part-time piano teaching,
which I am told I am great at it and I can feel why. I am always smiling when I teach . The smile must be contagious as my students learn to play very well. I believe, aside from the concert players which I don't teach,as I specialize in beginners, that everyone, especially "special needs" kids, have
"multiple intelligence". When one area is almost destroyed, another is ready to
thrive, with help. I love to be that help. Please feel free to email me with collaboration, lesson requests if nearby in North Jersey, any kind and/or helpful ideas. Sincerely, Ellen Rosenfeld Credentials include honors at Columbia University Master's program 1998, and a website award for my first kids musical multi-media website. Also performed the musical I created, produced directed at a day camp where I was a Nurse as well before I fell too ill to work, and several years ago sang an hour long show of standards with an accompanist in an
8th avenue club in New York City.
