As a George Benson fan from the CTI days through his previous releases (Standing Together (1998) and Absolute Benson 2000, I was not impress with this release. Described as "smoovey R&B on the jazzy hip hop groove tip" this CD did not showcase Benson's talents as did his past efforts. With more of a focus on vocals and story telling this release did not play to Benson's strength as a guitarist that lays the foundation for his vocals. The amount of "drum programming" in this CD is greater than other recent releases. This aspect takes away from the pure vocals and solid instrumentals I've come to enjoy from George.

Stairway to Love, track 8 comes closes to the traditional Benson. Perhaps George wanted to go in a different direction on this outing. For this reviewer it is "replaceable".
