Reviews excerpts

"Greg and Paulinho play beautifully together. They're magnifecent musicians who project intelligence, warmth and virtuosity. They sound like a whole band...it's nearly inconceivable that it's only two players." Michael Brecker

The Chicago Tribune: "Garcia's vocals are never less than seductive, his guitar playing ever atmospheric and evocative. Garcia...........ought to be considered a local treasure." Howard Reich, Jazz critic.

"Though some ensembles impersonate Brazilian idioms, Garcia's group defines them. The intricate cross-rhythms they play, the delicately insinuating phrases they produce, and the softly undulating texture they create represents Brazilian music in its purest form." Howard Reich, Jazz critic.

The Chicago Sun-Times: "This Garcia among Garcia's is a man of his words, and worlds, and no matter where he takes you, and no matter where you ask him to take you, you travel the byways of heart and soul. Brazil, where we have never been, rejoices. Chicago, where he now has never not been, the same. Listen, listener, and hear the freedom of horizons stretching. Lloyd Sachs, Jazz critic.

Jazziz Magazine: "Garcia is a clone of no one. Effortlessly, he moves from a straight Brazilian pop approach to caressing, seductive pop-jazz bossa novas". Alex Anderson, critic.

The Brazilians: "Jazzmineiro presents beautiful new, originals songs alongside classic compositions blending the music of Brazil with the urban essence of American Jazz and popular music. Paulinho's guitar playing is perfect."
