The Jazz Musician Emergency Relief Fund is a wonderful organization that helps in-need artists, primarily seniors, with urgent medical care and financial assistance. As "freelancers," many jazz musicians aren't protected by pensions, health plans and other benefits. To date, the JMEF has helped over 150 jazz musicians.
