Review:

For those interested in learning how to become a Be Bop drummer, this is one of the finest introductions around.  Artt Frank is a drum veteran in jazz, and in his book he shares how one can become a Be Bop drummer, and the essentials involved in achieving this musical goal.

The paperback format contains over a dozen black and white photos, plus eight diagrams/drawings, and over forty musical transcriptions.  You learn many techniques from Artt Frank, who was a drummer for trumpet legend Chet Baker over a period of eighteen years.

A unique aspect to this book is the play along CD which features Artt Frank.  There is much to learn from listening to this CD.
