There is the history of the instrument, going back in time 150 years to when it was devised by a farm worker named Robert Clarke who made the instrument by hand. Notes, rests, solo study work, and various topics are covered in the William Bay book.
An easy to read, hands-on approach, this is an ideal instruction kit for the jazz musician wishing to add this melodic little instrument to his or her instruments for playing. Well-written, this kit should find a quick home with many jazz musicians who want to master the tin whistle.
