Review:

In this intriguing approach to bead guitar, Robert Luther Dietz shares the "Bead Method of Fretboard Mastery" with guitarists.  Illustrated, clearly written and clearly explained, this fine book should be highly helpful to jazz guitarists. The book is edited by Rod Williams.

A concise introduction is followed by ten chapters.  The book concludes with a glossary of terms, and a template.

Nothing is left unturned in this thoughtful instruction guide! The first six chapters cover the Bead Method and use of scales.  Chapter 7 covers chord mechanics, and Chapter 8 covers mastering modes.  Chapter 8 is without doubt one of the best sections on mastering modes, and well worth the guitarist's time and study.  Chapter 9 covers advanced chords.   Chapter 10 covers advanced scales.

This is a nicely structured reference.  It is hands-on, and presented in a manner that makes for easy learning while at the same time giving an abundance of enjoyment and entertainment. The illustrations are excellent.

Congratulations to the author on a job well-done.  This instruction book would make a fine gift for any guitarist! Those interested in further information might contact the listed web site at www.beadguitar.com.
