Review:

Akimitsu Iwase has crafted a wonderful collection of ad-lib phrases for jazz piano.  This reviewer found them deceptively simple in their lively complexity and enjoyed the fingerings!

This collection is bound to improve and enhance any jazz pianist's stylings.  It is perfect for an individual who enjoys fresh, imaginative jazz stylings.  There is much to learn from this instruction book, and Akimitsu Iwase shares his knowledge in a user-friendly fashion that will excite the readers!

Since these are ad-lib phrasings, please allow me to share with you those I found especially creative, and intricate.  Please examine the ad-lib phrases found on pages 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 27, 34, 35, 36, among many others.  I found Iwase's Be-bop section for phrasing for major chords on page 63, 64, 65, 66 intoxicating, and his excellent example of bluesy phrasing on page 67 makes for a nice playing bridge.

Akimitsu Iwase has created an instruction book which will provide hours of entertainment.  Highly recommended.
