Review:

As an expert teacher, William Bay has a gift for clarity.  He explores his subject matter carefully then presents the information in a clear and concise manner.  Trumpet Handbook is another example of his skills as a teacher.

Trumpet Handbook comes with a handy play-along CD.  The unified instructional method includes tuning and warm-ups, exercises in triplets and intervals, a clearly explained approach to tonguing, flexibility studies, harmonics, and more.  The jazz phrasing studies are especially superb.

Bay's approach is unique and original. Nearly any trumpet student will find them helpful in developing a personal performance style. His Trumpet Handbook is neatly ordered and in sequence, which further adds to the book's ease of use.  Congratulations to the author on a fine introductory guide to trumpet. Recommended.
