American Landscape by David Benoit

An unusual and well-crafted production of nine compositions by jazz pianist David Benoit. The performances represent Benoit's interpretation of America in music, music he created and which carries a wide range of themes and emotions. His musicians include Luis Conte, Nathan East, Bela Fleck, Jerry Hay, Pat Kelley, Eric Marienthal, Tommy Morgan, Dean Parks, John Robinson, Pancho Sanchez, Carlos Vega, Kan Wild, and the London Symphony Orchestra.

The elements of jazz which underlie American music are readily evident in this fine recording, and the listener will find many selections to enjoy, such as "American Landscape," "Saying Goodbye," "Speed Racer," "Max's Boogie."
