C.A.F.E. Trio by Victor Jones

This month Satellites Records has releases to red hot live jazz recordings. First is our favorite female jazz vocalist, Kimiko Itoh live at the Montreaux Jazz Festival. Secondly, is dynamo jazz drummer Victor Jones and his C.A.F.E. trio. You may ask, "What does C.A.F.E. stand for?" Well, after listening to this astonishing CD the answer would automatically pop in your head. "Classics Are For Ever" Victor leads this trio through a sensational set of traditional jazz favorites that you are sure to adore.

Victor features the ever-melodious David Kikoski on piano and the very steady Essiet Essiet on contra bass. This trio takes you on a journey down classic boulevard with some great favorites such as Cole Porter's "Love for Sale", Victor Feldman's "Seven Steps to Heaven", Neal Hefty's "Lil Darlin" and Wayne Shorter's "Nefertiti". Each and every song is caught in perfect uninterrupted live creative bliss during their performance at New York's now-defunct Bradley's jazz club.

If you love classics done with real expression and design, check out what Victor has to offer in his latest release. I'm a true believer that, "Classics Are For Ever".
