D.C. Cabdriver by Bernard Sweetney

Master percussionist and vibraphonist Bernard Sweetney releases his third 10-track album D.C. Cabdriver. Presenting a musical style that provides easy listening pleasure, Sweetney doesn't disappoint.

The album is based on memories of Washington, D.C., when Sweetney, as a young child, accompanied his mother to the theaters to see performances of Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday and others.

His music touches on both contemporary and traditional forms of music, including jazz, rock, Latin and classical. Each selection (from the title track, "D.C. Cabdriver" to "Have You Met Miss Jones") presents a different mood for each occasion.

Sweetney has toured with many artists including Roberta Flack, Jimmy Smith, Shirley Horne and others. "D.C. Cabdriver" will appeal to any listener.
