Faux Real by Dave Gordon

Dave Gordon has a winner with his unusual blending of styles in FAUX REAL. This is an exciting blend, a heady brew of humor, intricate techniques, and imagination. An example is the song, "Refunk Waltz" featuring the vocals of gifted Chicago singer Suzanne Palmer. Another example is "Blues Man."

There are 13 songs in the collection. Among the many fine songs and performances are "Fingers And Toes," "Reluctant Bullfighter," "Clues Blues," "I Would Like To Tell You So," "Out Of The Air," the intricate and imaginative "Tracks In The Sand," and "Someday My Prince Will Come." The piano work by Gordon is impressive, and his guest artists are outstanding. Among the guest artists are Brian Gephart, Suzanne Palmer, Robert Shy, Dave Zielinski, Anthony Brock, Alejo Poveda, Rick Vitek, Jack Gallagher, and Brian Sandstrom.

Those who have heard Dave Gordon will want this one for their collection, and for those new to his sounds, this is a perfect introduction. FAUX REAL is Dave Gordon at his finest!
