First Time Out by Freddie Jones

Dallas based trumpeter Freddie Jones and his quartet bring new life to some old favorites on his new release "First Time Out". Freddie comments, "This is the stuff you and I grew up listening to. I'm jazzing up the tunes I heard as a kid. I'm doing the same thing Miles and Coltrane did." Freddie is a talented trumpet player with a keen mind for timing and silence similar to that of Miles Davis. Freddie features tunes such as, "Feel like makin love" (R. Flack) and "The world is a ghetto" (War) along with a few original tunes that I'm sure you will enjoy.
