Midnight Choo Choo by Jackie Washington

Vocalist/Guitarist/Pianist Jackie Washington has a repertoire of 1250 songs and has toured and recorded in Canada for many years. This album of 19 tunes is culled from unissued material from concerts and studio sessions over the past eight years. He is joined by long time pals Jim Galloway, Mose Scarlett, Ken Whiteley and Colin Linden to mention a few. Jackie's ability to swing is legend and his unusual and infectious voice reminds one of Fats Waller's humor and drive. Midnight Choo Choo is aptly titled as Jackie was a railroad porter about 1939. His original steam locomotive artwork adorns the booklet and cover. The tunes cover the period of the 1920's through some of Jackie's current originals. This is "good time" music at its best.
