Urban Knights V by Urban Knights

Urban Knights elevate to a new status with the release of a new compact disc, "Urban Knights V". This Chicago-based group displays a confidence and musical maturity that is earned only by playing together for years.

Gerald Albright, Jonathan Butler, Najee, drummer Sonny Emory, Dave Koz, Earl Klugh and Fareed Haque have been some of the guest artists featured on prior Urban Knights' projects. For "Urban Knights V", there are guest performances by Destiny Child's Michelle Williams, who provides vocals on the song "Will You Still Love Me?", and saxophonist Kenny Garrett, who brings heart and soul to "Quiet Heart" and "On the Up".

"Urban Knights V" is a mix of R&B mixed with funk-oriented acoustic and electric music. Urban Knights clearly makes a CD that is fun to play on and to listen to. Check out the classic vibe of Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give It Up" and the inspirational "Church". This is one project that deserves heavy rotation on radio airwaves.
