Rhythms & Rhymes by Fay Claassen

Fay Claassen new CD, entitled "Rhythms & Rhymes," is a combination of smooth, contemporary and classical jazz. The music was beautifully arranged and the songs flow as genuine as the lyrics she sang. This is a CD that you can just sit and be peaceful as you drift into thought or reflection. The musicians that collaborated on this project really fused together as one unit and the song that is produced is evident. I enjoy the second track entitled "What Are You Ding the Rest of Your Life," how romantic, and Fay sang it as romantic as anyone could have asked the question. I felt as if I was at a jazz bar, with good friends, good wine, and good conversation, listening to the lady sing and imagining being in love. The third track " Wild is Love," was also a very one of my favorite tracks on the album, or course you will probably have your favorite because of the ten tracks on this CD, I have about seven favorites, yeah it’s that good. Fay’s voice was simply magnificent; it reflected her range and vocal ability that seems to have infinite possibilities of sound. This was definitely a worthwhile project, I would recommend that you pick it up and be on the look out for a live performance from Fay, she is worth spending an evening with.
