Wait For Me by Alicia Renee

Wait For Me is the debut CD of young Alicia Renee.

The 19-year-old from Minneapolis shows a flair for a variety of musical styles, including jazz, cabaret and pop. She wraps her likeable voice around an impressive set of songs that begins with "Prince Ali" from the soundtrack to "Aladdin" and ends with her own composition "Wait For Me." In between, she does justice to a number of tunes from the Great American Songbook.

The story goes that Alicia Renee started showing a gift for music at age five. During high school, she sang in a number of choirs. When she was 17, Alicia Renee studied at Boston’s Berklee School of Music summer program, where she won a songwriting competition. The Berklee experience raised her skills and boosted her confidence.

The daughter of promoter and record executive Steve Heckler, Alicia Renee has a clear, pretty voice with a natural swing. Listening to her, one would never guess her age.

Alicia Renee is someone to watch for.
