Sin Palabras (without words) by Nestor Torres

Jazz flautist Nestor Torres expands his trademark Latin sound with this new project, mixing more pop and R&B influences into the mix, with very satisfying results. Producers for the 11 tracks include James Lloyd of Pieces of a Dream and Jimmy Haslip of The Yellowjackets. They give the CD a pop/soul sheen that blends well with Torres’ Latin flute playing. Torres was trying for a departure from his previous releases and has succeeded. This is a great Smooth Jazz CD and is highly recommended.
