May I come in? by Pamela Hart

Where has this Singer been all my life? Was it great to hear a singer whoseems to have a feeling for the great songs of our time. I'm speaking ofPamela Hart and the CD "May I. Come In" featured in Jazz In A Glance thismonth. The CD has a first tune a Samba flavor which makes you want to hear therest of the CD. When one does they have an audio experience they won'tforget. I tried to imagine listening to "What Are You Doing The Rest Of YourLife?" with a full string orchestra and I had an experience that made me thinkof Nancy, Sarah, Barbara, Billie and Carmin, singers of that caliber. Theother thing I liked was I felt Pam has been to the wood shed and is reallydeveloping her craft in a way that pays tribute to the singers of our time. The other thing I liked were the use of all acoustic instruments (exceptionswhere the use of the synthesizer where strings would be). The musicians, andespecially the producer are to congratulated on a fine product. If one has nothad the experience of hearing Pam Hart they have really missed something. Ilook forward to her next CD.
