Forever Loved by Jimmy Reid

This young new 21 year old up and coming saxophone player has proven his point that he is an artist to be remembered on his debut release, "Forever Loved". Jimmy comments on his new release by saying, "My goal on Forever Loved was to make an original statement as a sax player and attain credibility as a songwriter, creating memorable melodies which will stand out on the radio," Jimmy's tenor sax playing style resembles that of his musical idol, Kirk Whalum and brings in his own personal creative touch on the alto sax.

Jimmy has established himself both as a great musician and a creative composer of new music. Jimmy's has written the music on 8 of the 12 tracks featured on this brilliant new release proving that he is much more than a "one album star"; he is here to stay. His rendition of the classic R & B tune "Yearning For Your Love" is sure to be a hit, with its deep felt soul and unwavering tempo.

Jimmy has a great desire and devotion to his music because of his humble "musicians beginnings". While a student at the University of Southern California as a jazz performance major, he would hop the bus with his tenor sax and head to downtown L.A. where he became a very popular sidewalk player. Striving to make his mark on the world, Jimmy was later able to land a contract with Discovery Records and fulfill his life long dream of creating beautiful music for the world to enjoy.

On this hot release Jimmy and Kirk Whalum are featured on a great duet of the song, "Love Is". Jimmy also underscores his writing abilities with two lovely ballads, "I'll Do It" and the title track, "Forever Loved". We truly enjoyed this debut by saxman Jimmy Reid and look forward to his bright musical future and what it will bring to the world of jazz.
