Suede by Chris Camozzi

On Chris Camozzi's new release entitled Suede, the title says it all. This CD is Smooooooth like suede, with a capital "S". Chris, along with some of cjazz's most talented musicians, gives smooth jazz fans just what they want to hear, "Great music". Chris has been one of the most sought after sidemen, playing for everyone from Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, Whitney Houston and Barbara Streisand, just to name a few. On Suede, Chris is featured primarily on acoustic and electric guitars, however we also get a taste of his diverse musical talents on other instruments such as keyboards, synth bass, drums and percussion.

Furthermore, on Suede, Chris wrote each line of music from the bass line right on through to the final melody. Chris has assembled ten original tracks for our listening pleasure that have a true mix of upbeat, well developed tunes that will keep you jammin'. On the "Miles Away" track, Chris gets a little help from trumpet player Rick Braun (my personal favorite). These two musicians collaborate on this seductive and sultry tune to form a true work of art for the ears to enjoy. Chris's guitar playing style will not soon be matched. Chris has a silky smooth rhythmic style that comes through with true conviction and a whole lot of heart in every note he plays. Chris is also accompanied by smooth jazz saxmen, Richard Elliot and Dave Koz, along with the soulful vocals group, "Vision". Jazz fans are in for a real treat on Chris's new release due out on October 21st. A must buy!
