The David Humm Trio is a fine working trio that gives the jazz listening audience some nice jazz sounds that are enjoyable. The trio works well together and they have a compact, pleasant sound. The solo work has a special charm.

This CD collection contains nine songs. Each song will appeal to different listeners for different reasons. Among the many fine songs are found "You And The Night And The Music," "It Might As Well Be Spring," "Lucky Southern," "Never Let Me Go," "I'll Take Romance," "Naima," "Stardust," "Waltz For Debby," and "Rhythm-A-Ning."

Recorded at Lincoln Park, New Jersey, the CD collection is full of fun and enjoyment. The trio lifts off and takes flight with great verve!

Bob McHugh, as always, is a wonderful jazz pianist to listen to. His stylings are involved, and his technique is complex. He always comes up a winner with anything he plays on the piano, and he certainly is a master of his instrument. A veteran jazz pianist, Bob McHugh is well-respected by his peers.

David Humm is always tops on drums and is lyrical in his playing. Ron Naspo can always be relied on to give an excellent, memorable bass performance. Both excel in this collection.

Each song is a gem of a performance. Among the standout numbers are "Lucky Southern," "Never Let Me Go," "Naima," and "Stardust." "Waltz For Debby" is one of the trio's finest songs to date. For an enjoyable CD, this compact little collection of jazz musings may be just your cup of brew! Nice going, guys, smooth and vivid performances makes this tops!
