Review:

Over the years, I have found that Two For Brazil never fails to amaze with its unique Brazilian jazz sounds.  Featuring the talents of Paulinho Garcia and Greg Fishman, each song shines with a fine sense of balance, imagination, intimacy, and subtle beauty.  Judy Roberts adds her fine vocals on tracks 3, 6, and 9.

This CD collection contains twelve songs from famous movies that have remained in the listeners' minds over the decades.  Among these songs are found innovative renditions of "Mrs. Robinson," "James Bond Theme," "Samba Saravah," "Theme of the Pink Panther," "Smile," "Last Tango in Paris," "Pure Imagination," "Moon River," "Charade," "Laura," "When You Wish Upon A Star," and "Tangerine."

The songs and the music come together in a memorable jazz outing which jazz listeners will find refreshingly original in concept and delivery.  Each song is a showcase for Two For Brazil.

I have been reviewing for Jazzreview.com since it started, and that comes out to approximately 1600 reviews I have done for Jazzreview.com over many years.  Among the many great and talented jazz musicians whose work I have reviewed, Two For Brazil remains among my favorites for continued fine work in jazz.  Listeners should find this new CD very enjoyable!
