Review:

Russian saxophonist Oleg Kireyev and his guest artists bring yet another unique collection of jazz music to the listeners!  With nine songs, this powerhouse collection of various jazz styles emphasizing world music themes, succeeds in further spreading the awareness of the new jazz coming out of contemporary Russia.

These nine songs are intriguing!  Among the songs are "Galaxy," "Deja vus," "Night Train," "Lapland," "Dance of brides," "L'Etoile," "Jazz Africa," "Oriental (Caravan)," and "Smile of Prince."

Again, the talented guitarist Victor Matuhin is featured on bass.  This group knows how to perform, and whether it is in solo mode or in harmony as a group, the music they create together is always refreshingly original in concept and theme.

"Jazz Africa," "Night Train," "Galaxy," and "Deja vus" are among the standout highlights of this CD collection.  "Dance of brides" is a folksong given a special jazz treatment as only Oleg Kireyev can do it!  "Smile of Prince" will mystify the jazz listening audience with its eclectic approaches, and theme.

If you like Oleg Kireyev and his Russian jazz sound, you will definitely find this release an enjoyable listening adventure.  It is full of verve, spunk, and emotion!  Another winning jazz entry from Russian saxophonist Oleg Kireyev, a fine talent in contemporary Russian jazz!  Enjoyable!
