Review:

Those who enjoy the sounds of guitarist Wes Montgomery will find this CD collection a treat, and a highly pleasant listening journey.  John Judd performs his own compositions on 7 string guitar with smooth, agile technique.  His sound is polished, and memorable.

There are twelve songs in the CD collection.  The songs include "Marsipan Kareavan," "BelezAlexis," "Davey Junior's Funky Hootie Dance," "Of Blue's Bag," "Conan," "Dilemma," "Katherine's Calypso," "Obrigado Mae e Pai," "Redman's Run," and "Sophie's Songo."  Each song reflects the unique jazz motifs which composer John Judd has created for his jazz expressions.

The musicians are topnotch, and their individual solo work is greatly enjoyable.  As a group, their harmony and approach is superb.  "Conan" and Obrigado Mae e Pai" will surprise the jazz listening audience with the fresh, innovative concepts and the manner in which each song is musically realized.  All songs in the collection are jazz gems!

This is a fine jazz CD collection.  There is something special to listen to in every song, and every song has its own creative story to share with the jazz listening audience. The CD flyer lists a contact email as: johnjuddnyc@yahoo.com

Highly recommended for its fresh, innovative approach. This is a fine jazz listening experience, one to share with friends.  Excellent guitar work by John Judd is the highlight of this unusual collection.
