Just Lovesongs is a nice collection of original smooth jazz vocals. Rick Holdin wrote the songs and performs them vocally and instrumentally. Listeners should find this collection a nice addition to their music libraries.

The music is original and topnotch in scope. Each song has its own jazz motif. There are twelve songs in the CD collection. The songs include "Start With Love," "She," "Winter Love," "Perfect Girl," "Lovers and Friends," "Hung Over," "Right With You," "Trust Your Heart," "Brangelina Blues," "At First Sight," "Of My Life," and "Again." The listeners will find something solid and valuable in each song and will have their own favorites. "Winter Love" and "Of My Life" were among my favorites on this collection.

Overall, this is a fine collection of smooth jazz vocals. Fresh, creative, and imaginative, Just Lovesongs will delight you with its mellow flavor and verve. "Right With You" is a classy little jazz song, its melody lingers long after the song is over, and the words have a poignant impact on the listening audience. Each song delivers its message with elegance.

If you are new to the sounds of Rick Holdin, this CD collection would be a great introduction to a fine talent who sings and composes. Nice and Easy, and highly recommended.
