Through My Eyes

They say music does many things... eases pain, excites the soul and makes you get in touch with your senses or lose them entirely. Joanna Pascale’s latest release, "Through My Eyes," touches them all!!!

Joanna likes tunes from the great American Songbook and she is no slouch on this CD. There is the slowness of "Wouldn’t it be Loverly," from My Fair Lady that reminds us that rushing is a waste and taking your time to enjoy the music is a pleasure. There is the feeling of romance on "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes," "P.S. I Love You," and "Something Wonderful." Cole Porter’s "Easy to Love," kicks it into high gear and gets you off the sofa and out of the chair — grab a partner and dance the night away. You can do the bossa nova on "Our Day Will Come," and "I Hadn’t Anyone Till You." But, the real surprise is "When I Grow Too Old to Dream" when pianist, Andrew Adair’s "sanctified" introduction makes you get back up out of your seat. Her group just doesn’t play well together, they have fun, but that’s because playing with friends is so easy. Also adding their musical expertise to "Through My Eyes," are bassist, Madison Rast; drummer, Dan Monaghan and saxophonist, Tim Warfield.
