Review: Italian bassist Giogio Dini and legendary and prominent pianist Borah Bergman present us an exceptional memento with One More Time. Their counterpoint is shaped on improvisational musical concepts. The release succeeds in working with this particular instrumental combination. This duo strakes established instrumental assertion which concurrently results in a dilatation of possibilities for creativity using non-standard mission and musicianship.
Piano and bass perch free jazz and improvisation adroitly playing with cohesive sense and capturing the listener from the very first track”One More”. The musical journey continues with “Autograph Two”, “Hustle”, “Enough For His Keep”, “Equitable”, “A Patter Of Footsteps” and ends with “No More Cosmetics”.
This album impress for the alchemy of eloquent and talented pieces of avant-garde jazz with an array of free soundscapes, multiple spaces, and iridescent pitches. Brilliant are the assertions deployed by Dini’s voice. This creation holds force in one line and then composure in the next; it deploys amazing energy counter-balanced by satiny clipped notes. It also combines a veritable brilliant approach and technical mastery as well as playful interaction. Overall this album is spontaneous, vivid and never ceases to thrill. Bergman and Dini have forged here an eminent, fascinating, vibrant, inventive and recommended piece of art!
