Review: Perpetual Motion's CD release, "Surfing on Cloud Nine" is full of pleasant surprises, and is a CD the listener can enjoy anywhere or anyplace! 12 selections of lively, harmonic jazz that entertains and is playful to the ears!

Josie Quick is one of the finest violin jazz players now performing, and she is at her finest on this CD. Tom Carleno is in top form on these lovely flights of jazz fantasy, and so is Matt Deason and Chad Johnson! Each musician performs in flawless deliverance, and such songs as "The Monarch's Journey," the wonderful "The Wyoming Blues" which is worthy of air time on jazz radio stations, "Child's Play," and "Gypsy Wind" are a few of the excellent songs to be heard and savored on this CD!

This is a beautiful work of contemporary jazz by gifted musicians who care deeply about how they create sounds and reveal it in every performance, and that is the special treat the listener receives from Perpetual Motion's CD, "Surfing on Cloud Nine." Excellent!
