From January 10-16, 2005, the world-renowned Barbados Jazz Festival will bring together talent from around the world. Participating artists include: Alicia Keys, Kenny Garrett, Ellis Marsalis, Yellowjackets, Gato Barbieri, Keiko Matsui, Pieces of a Dream, Jason Moran, Horacio 'El Negro' Hernandez & Giovanni Hidalgo, The Charles Flores Quintet, Tito De Gracia and Adrian Clarke. Concerts will be held at some of Barbados' top venues, including: Sunbury Plantation House, Farley Hill National Park, the Rum Factory at Heritage Park, the Sherbourne Conference Center, The Colony Club Hotel and the Garfield Sobers Auditorium. A favorite spot with locals and visitors alike, the Farley Hill National Park will host two performances. Set amongst acres of lush parkland in the shade of over 3,000 trees and with a gentle ocean breeze, this family friendly park has dramatic views of the rugged Scotland district on the North East Atlantic coastline.
