RJ Ross is an artist, producer, composer and "Hit Maker." While he was keyboardist and music director of the R&B group Brainstorm, he did an album for Clarence Avant’s Tabu Records. A song from that album, " Loving Is Really My Game" went to #3 on the U.S. dance charts. This tune won an award from Billboard Magazine as the best song of the year in its class. This "Hit Maker" scored again with "This Must Be Heaven" from the same album. This great tune is still one of the most requested songs on radio station WGCI Chicago and continues to get tremendous radio airplay throughout the world.
RJ Ross worked with some of the brightest names in the recording industry while he was an in-house arranger, keyboardist and producer at the world famous Fantasy Studios, the largest studio complex on the West Coast. These artists include Jeffrey Osborne, Huey Lewis and The News. Eddie Money, M.C. Hammer, Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, the Swedish rock group Europe, and the late rap star, Tupac.
Quite recently, Tony Adamo, singer/songwriter and Jerry Stucker, producer/guitarist, persuaded this very talented artist to promote his own singing and writing career. RJ wanted to see how listening audiences would react to his own new material so UrbanZone Productions released two of RJ’s new tunes to Soundclick.com.
The song "In The Green Green" has gone to #4 on the World Fusion chart in less than two weeks of release. "Ancient Songs Of The Garden" is #18 on the Jazz Fusion chart. RJ Ross is currently working on a new CD release. Keep an ear out for more outstanding new tunes from this "Hit Maker" in the future.
