I recently caught a set with New Orleans traditional jazz pianist Tom McDermott and his jazz trio on August 4 at Gulfstream, a restaurant in uptown New Orleans. The eclectic set included everything from Henri Mancini's "Days of Wine and Roses" done bassa nova-style to Fats Domino's upbeat "I'm Walking."
