This was Pinetop’s 95th Birthday Bash concert a musical feat that’s sure hard to beat. It was a Jeff Healey's Roadhouse Presentation promoted by Berel's Blues, so you know it was going to be good!
Backing Pinetop this night was Juno-winning blues guitarist Jack de Keyze

It’s always a pleasure to see the Big Bill Morganfield Blues Band whenever they perform here in Toronto, Ontario. Whether it’s the Silver Dollar as it was this night and others, or at a one-off blues fest at the Toronto waterfront, outdoors a few years ago, Big Bill is always here to please.
Bill’s main asset onstage is that he’s a people person one who likes the audience, and they like him back! Bill really puts his ‘all’ into his guitar playing, and is backed admirably and first clas

Their sound is unrelenting funk, R&B and blues with a skill honed from over a decade playing together. They have a weekly Wednesday night gig at Toronto’s top funk and R&B club, The Orbit Room located in the central west ‘Little Italy’ section of town. http://www.orbitroom.ca/
The Buddy Guy Blues Band played an absolutely superb concert outdoors this past Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Chuck Jackson’s 9th Annual Southside Shuffle Blues Fest in Port Credit, Ontario. There was such a big turnout to see Buddy Guy this night, that the initial sight of them really blew
Three of the greatest entertainers on the live music scene today, are not necessarily household names, but their talent as artists is long-standing and much-appreciated by ‘those in the know’ in the music biz. Johnny Pennino is known as the Sax King of New Orleans, and rightly so! He is deservedly in the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and is one of the freshest and most vibrant tenor sax players around. Pennino has been a long-time friend and musica
It’s always a great pleasure to see blues harp (harmonica) great David Rotundo in concert. Rotundo’s type of blues is the real deal -- the healing blues that makes the real blues go away. Such was a recent warm June night at the beginning of the summer for this writer, and a cheering packed house at Southside Johnny’s .. a blues hangout in Toronto’s west end Etobicoke area.
The energy in the room was contagious, and the good vibes comi
