On Friday and Saturday, November 21 & 22, 2003, the 21st Annual Hollywood Jazz Festival will once again attract jazz fans from all over to the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (1770 Monroe Street, Hollywood). From 8 to 11 p.m. each evening, a series of mainstream and contemporary jazz performers will take to the stage each a legend in his or her own right.
Friday evening kicks-off with the renowned piano playing of Danilo Perez and his trio, followed by the Larry Coryell Quartet featuring Donald "Duck" Harrison on alto saxophone, Buster Williams, bass, and drummer Paul Wertico. Saturday’s performance begins with jazz vocalist René Marie and culminates bass legend, Stanley Clarke. The optimal comfort and acoustics featured at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center provide an ideal setting to enjoy the unique talents of this year’s line-up.
The 2003 Hollywood Jazz Festival is presented by the South Florida Friends of jazz, the City of Hollywood and the Gold Coast Jazz Society and sponsored by Jazz Times Magazine.
