Accordionist Will Holshouser's trio, featuring trumpeter Ron Horton and bassist Dave Phillips, plays the Knitting Factory in New York on Monday Sept 9th (8:00 & 9:30 pm, $8.00 cover, 74 Leonard St NYC, info: 212-219-3055). Their new CD "Reed Song" is on the Clean Feed label (available online through North Country at www.cadencebuilding.com). It features ten original tunes and special guest Kevin Norton on drums. The New York Times wrote about Will's music, "successfully showcased the range and beauty of the accordion . . . this could be music for some fantastical Fellini film."
