July 18, 2006 is the street date for Vic Juris & Corey Christiansen: Live at the Smithsonian Jazz Café. Recorded on November 11, 2005, this is the second Mel Bay Records project for each artist and the latest jazz DVD from the rapidly growing guitar label. Bassist Bill Moring and drummer Tim Horner are also featured on the recording.

When Corey produced Vic’s first CD for Mel Bay Records, they found their musical styles compliment each other so well that it was only natural for them to record together. Live at the Smithsonian Jazz Café is their first project as a guitar duo.

For their next recording, Vic and Corey joined guitarist and fellow Mel Bay Records artist Jimmy Bruno to record MB3 / Jazz Hits / Volume I. The CD, featuring Jay Anderson on bass and Danny Gottlieb on drums, will be released in October 2006.
