A birth place of rap and hip-hop is now a home to CTA Records, the only jazz label in the Bronx, New York. Dedicated to promoting original jazz by most promising New York based artists, CTA Records started as a part of Connecting The Arts Project, which is uniting artists in performing arts, literature and visual arts. CTA Records' first release is album Bridges from Rale Micic Quintet, led by the Serbian born guitarist and composer, and it is scheduled for the end of August (release date August 26, 2003). Upcoming releases include Riley Bandy Quartet Out Of The Darkness featuring tenor saxophonist Greg Tardy.
