Great Jazz, Blues & Art in Calabasas

The Calabasas Art Council will present the 6th Annual Calabasas Fine Arts and Crafts Festival on Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd & 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. The City of Calabasas extends its hospitality to all art lovers. Come and enjoy a day viewing high-caliber art and experiencing entertainment for all the senses. The festival, located next to the Calabasas Commons Shopping Center, is FREE to the public, and will feature more than 175 highly respected visual artists and craft artisans.

Four great bands will entertain during the weekend. On Saturday, jazz saxophonist Robert Kyle and his group will play Brazilian, Latin and smooth jazz as well as easy-listening tunes. Dirk K, an outstanding Jazz guitarist, will entertain the crowd with popular acoustic jazz standards and favorites. On Sunday the Westside Crew, a ten-piece rock and roll band, will entertain with popular favorites. Also, Teresa Russell, and her band Cocobilli will perform blues on Sunday. Teresa Russell is the only female to ever qualify for the national finals in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame lead guitarist competition and accomplished this by winning the western Regional competition over approximately 600 male guitarists.

Visitors may enjoy the Beer Garden and a number of vendors of international foods. Children’s art activities will be offered in the new Kids Corner. There will be free and convenient parking next to the festival site. In addition, a free shuttle will run to and from satellite parking.
