The American Fiddle Method, Vols. 1 and 2 by Brian Wicklund

For the jazz fan and jazz violinist, these two books will be a delight. There is much to learn from the teaching of Brian Wicklund, and these two volumes are remarkable.

Volume 1 and Volume 2 cover indepth the fiddle techniques. The tunes are enjoyable, and each tune is selected for its learning steps. Both books include play-along CDs. Volume 1 contains a DVD video.

This would be a good companion set as a gift or as a personal learning item. It would be a good set to have in your local Public Library.
