For the jazz fan and jazz violinist, these two books will be a delight. There is much to learn from the teaching of Brian Wicklund, and these two volumes are remarkable. Volume 1 and Volume 2 cover indepth the fiddle techniques. The tunes are enjoyable, and each tune is selected for its learning steps. Both books include play-along CDs. Volume 1 contains a DVD video. This would be a good companion set as a gift or as a personal learning item. It would be a good set to have in your local Public Library. Highly recommended. the instruction approach is topnotch.For the jazz fan and the jazz violinist interested in the fine art of fiddling motifs, these two books will deliver both enjoyment and instruction. Each book comes with play-along CDs.
