1000 Keyboard Tips by Dreksler/Harle

1000 KEYBOARD TIPS by Dreksler & Harle is 263 pages of learning enjoyment for those interested in piano. The large paperback comes with a CD.

This fine book is unusual in that it contains a learning structure which combines tutorial, songbook, dictionary, reference book, with exercises and protricks. This book includes approaches for the beginner to those who have a working knowledge of piano playing, and it is highly detailed in every way.

I think this book is the answer to a beginning pianists search for clearly written and detailed explanations that offer hands-on experience. Blessed with a touch of humor it will entertain anybody interested in music and the piano!

Section 8 gives a good explanation of professional tricks including intros hammerings licks rifts runs and Section 9 details arranging and composing. Harmony and rhythm is covered indepth as is improvisation and chords. There is a detailed section which gives an examination of different keyboard styles and should appeal to all musicians. 13 sections.

1000 KEYBOARD TIPS is a winner a book that takes the beginning pianist where she or he wishes to be in clear well-defined explanations. Excellent piano reference book one of the best published to date.'
