The Chicago performance venue, 3030, will be hosting Percussion Nacht II on February 21st, at 9PM. The concert features both solo and duo performances by some of the areas most creative performers. Grant Strombeck (drums and electroacoustic percussion) has been a drumset musician since 1950. He can be heard frequently with many top jazz performers in and around Chicago.

Brian O'Hern (piano) received a degree in composition from the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Mass. While in Boston he worked with Bob Hope and toured the world with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. In 1996 he started up the Model Citizens Big Band.

Jim Quinn (percussion) has performed in Chicago with Malukosamba, Meleika and has recorded with the Blue Lit Souls providing percussive background inspiration for the six member band.

Davis Krieg (vibes) graduated summa cum laude in 1987 from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois with a degree in Music. Since moving to Chicago in 1987, Davis has performed and recorded with a wide variety of local artists. In 1998 Davis co-founded Elastic Revolution Productions with Michael Armstrong, Steve Gaede, Mark Rochon, Sam Lewis, and Stefan Grace.

Michael Bettine (gongs, Kulintang) has been an avid player and collector of metal percussion since the mid-1970s. He works extensively with gongs of all types, especially the Philippine Kulintang, which is a set of 8 small, tuned pot gongs. Michael also works with gongs as sound healing tools and is currently writing a book on gongs.
